Systems

Navigation

GPS/Chartplotters

These allow the operator of the boat to see his position via GPS and plot navigational routes to and from a destination. This position is overlaid on a pre-loaded chart or with the many add-on detailed chart options available.

Electronic charts

Many Chartplotters/ Multi-Function displays (MFD’s) accept third party chart cards that give the user enhanced detail on their screen/charts. Some of these added features include satellite imagery, marina/harbor photos, detailed bathymetry, navigational aids, depth contour and shading.

Multi-function displays (MFD’S)

An MFD is a multi-use display. These can be stand-alone systems or multiple displays can be networked together. When networked, these displays share information and allow the user to run different screens for different functions.

Depending on the Brand/Model one or more of the following features can be controlled: Chart plotting, Sonar/FishFinder, Radar, XM Satellite weather and radio, Autopilot, Thermal cameras, Underwater lights, Switches and Controls, Engine Data, Fuel management, and many more!

Radar-(Radio Assisted Detection and Ranging).

Radar when integrated into your MFD is a helpful tool for daytime and nighttime navigation. Radar can be instrumental for collision avoidance in poor visibility as well as night navigation. It can also be used to track multiple targets in order to determine their position, velocity, and distance. Tracking weather and finding birds that lead you to the fish are also some of the added benefits of Radar.

Infrared Cameras

With Infrared cameras the user can see the same image in the middle of the night as they would in the day. Unlike night vision, Infrared isn’t dependent on ambient light. This makes it a crucial navigational aid for night time/ poor visibility conditions. The warmer the object the brighter the target will be. This makes it useful in engine room monitoring also.

Depthfinders

Determines the depth of water by measuring the time it takes a sound wave produced by a transducer to echo or “return” from the bottom. This depth is then displayed on a screen. Various depth finder options exist.

Communication

VHF Radios- (Very High Frequency).

A VHF radio is transmitter & receiver and operates on standard international frequencies known as channels. Uses include shore/ marina communications, emergency transmissions, and weather broadcast stations. VHF’s equipped with Digital selective calling (DSC) allows the user to instantly send an automatically formatted distress alert to the Coast Guard.

Antennas

We carry/install a wide variety of antennas. Some of which but, not limited to are: GPS, AM/FM, VHF, Sirius XM/Weather, AIS, and more.

AIS (Automatic Identification System)-AIS is an automated tracking system that gives a user information on other AIS equipped vessels such as vessel name, position, course, and speed. Useful for collision avoidance. There are three types of AIS: Class A, Class B, and Receive-Only.

Star Link satellite internet access

Combined with the below WIFI antenna and a switching router, provides excellent connectivity to stream video VOIP calling and more, at the dock and underway.

WIFI antennas

An external antenna that you connect via ethernet cord to a router inside your vessel to boost surrounding Wi-Fi signals allowing the user to create a password protected ‘network’ from it.

Satellite Broad-Satellite based internet service that requires a monthly subscription with varying plans and rates. Satellite internet provides service that can be used for voice calling, messaging, HD television viewing, and web browsing.

Entertainment

Marine Audio

An assortment of options exist with CD players, Bluetooth, Sirius XM and “all in one units” Many MFD Chartplotters are also capable of controlling the audio profile your vessel. Paired with the right amplifier and speakers, we can build a custom sound system for you and your guests to enjoy at the sandbar or while cruising.

Speakers

We carry and install the highest quality marine speakers and subwoofers built to withstand the harsh South Florida environment. Whether it’s LED lighted models, tower speakers, or we can create a perfect look, fit, and sound for your vessel.

Satellite TV

Satellite based HD TV option via a dome mounted to the top of your vessel that allows a user to access channels on multiple TV’s. There are various dome sizes that each have a designated “footprint” or coverage area. Give us a call to find the right system for you.

Fishing

Fishfinders

Using Sonar (Sound Navigation and Ranging). These units allow the user to find fish and distinct bottom features with various frequencies. We are an authorized Dealer/Installer of Simrad, Garmin, Furuno, and Raymarine!

Transducers

Transducers work by converting electrical pulses to sound waves. They then receive these echoes and display them on a screen which helps the user interpret bottom, fish, thermoclines, and depth. Mounting options include transom, thru-hull, tilted element, in-hull, and trolling motor mount.

Echo sounders

A powerful external sounder that works in conjunction with your MFD/Chartplotter. Provides soundings in depths up to 10,000 feet with the option of using multiple independent sonar channels.

Side Scan Sonar-Sonar feature that allows the user to see large areas of bottom at one time. Useful to discover underwater structure like trees, wrecks, rock piles, ledges and more!

Underwater Cameras- Thru-hull cameras that allow a user to see below the water line. Great for trolling to record and document your catch.

Vessel Control

Optimus 360 Joystick Steering for Outboards

Steer by wire system that gives the user total boat control with just a flick of the wrist. SeaStation virtual anchor and SeaWays autopilot are available add-ons to the joystick on SeaStar Solutions Optimus 360.

Remote Docking

Systems such as Dockmate– wireless remote-control systems allow a boater to easily operate single or twin engines, thrusters, anchor winch and horn from anywhere on board with a small handheld device.

Auto Trim

This system reads engine data and GPS (depending on installation) to drive your boat at the most efficient running angle by adjusting your trim tabs as needed.

Bow Thrusters

Propulsion device that moves the bow left or right without using the main engine. Primarily used in the aide of docking. Controlled via a joystick/keypad.

Stern Thrusters

Propulsion device that moves the stern left or right without using the main engine. Primarily used in the aide of docking. Controlled via a joystick/keypad.

Search Lights

These LED or Halogen search/spot lights are mounted on your hard-top and can be controlled via a dash keypad or a wireless control.

AC power

(Alternating Current) Used for high electrical load conveniences such as water heaters, air conditioning, and refrigeration. We can supply and install generators, inverters, and shore power systems for all your marine electrical needs.

DC Power

(Direct Current)- Batteries are a prime example of DC power which is needed to power many of today’s marine electronics. We can take care of all your vessel’s DC power needs!

Inverter Systems

Inverters utilize DC power from a battery and change it into AC current. Useful in low load AC applications or when using a generator is impractical. Inverter/Charger combos allow the user to charge the DC battery bank while connected to shore power or a generator. When shore power or the generator isn’t connected the inverter automatically turns on.

Solar Power

Converts the energy of sunlight via a solar panel into DC power. There are various types of panels on the market. Most common use in marine applications is the charging capability of a DC battery system.

Bilge/Live-well Pumps- Bilge pumps are a critical part of keeping unwanted water out of your vessel while live-well pumps are an integral part of keeping your bait frisky for a successful day on the water. Whether it’s replacing burned out pumps to new installs, we have you covered.

Safety

EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon)

406 MHz EPIRB’s are either triggered manually or automatically in the event of a disaster at sea. They use orbiting satellites to transmit position anywhere in the world to search and rescue coordinators. They are registered to the boat and usually have a run time of a minimum of 48 hours once activated and contain a strobe light to aid searchers in rescue.

PLB (Personal Location Beacon)

PLB’s are a smaller distress beacon that is registered to a person rather than a vessel. Usually worn on a life preserver and good for a person who finds his or her way on multiple boats often. These are manually triggered by the user.
